We imagine a world where faith, hope, and love uplift every life and community—where compassionate service fosters justice, dignity, and belonging for all.

The Heart of Our Mission: The Home Visit
At the core of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s ministry is the home visit—a personal and compassionate outreach where trained volunteers, known as Vincentians, visit individuals and families in need at a time that works for them. These visits are conducted by teams of two, allowing us to understand each person’s circumstances firsthand and determine the most appropriate support.

Each year, Vincentians make thousands of in-home visits, witnessing with humility and respect the realities people face. Our assistance is always tailored to the unique needs of the household and may include support with food, rent, utilities, and emotional or spiritual care.

We honor the dignity and privacy of those we serve, assuring that all shared information remains confidential. The home visit not only provides immediate help but also opens the door to additional resources through SVdP programs—offering hope, healing, and a path forward with compassion and grace.
