Spokane District Council of The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul
Our Mission
St. Anthony’s conference of St. Vincent de Paul has been in existence in one form or another since 1923. Our mission is to stand in solidarity with and serve those living in poverty as our founder Frederic Ozanam and our patron St. Vincent de Paul did. Our direct service is primarily in the form of utility and rent assistance, though, as is in the mission statement of St. Vincent de Paul International, no form of service is alien to the society. St. Vincent de Paul is primarily a spiritual organization with the fruits of our spiritual development manifested in direct service to the poor.
Our conference, through the donations of our parishioners and those of another parish, provides food, hygiene supplies, and emergency aid with utilities and rent; and when possible, we meet other needs that appear to create a path out of poverty.
Limited Service Area – parish geographic boundaries (see Where to Find Help page) and Trinity School families.
